First please don't put me in the same sentence as tearex.
There are always other fractions for their reasons that will take advantage of others events and causes.
But the antifa's agenda isn't always in the right either. There are past examples that the neo nazis were contained in a space for their protest and protection and the new fascist fighters came up and instigated the violence against people who were in their permitted right and contained space no matter how repugnant and in my view totally sick their concepts are.
If their basic rights to peaceful protest and assembly are taken away by another rights group who think they're right, then we the citizens have no rights. antifa doesn't speak for me, they didn't ask me if they could show up at riots and start hitting police from behind and calling police fascists and screaming the stupidest thing I could imagine about defunding the police. That's what the anarchists want.
And antifa has their share of anarchist leaders as well. They believe they have some inalienable right to smash nazis heads, but they're also hurting innocent people who shouldn't even be out in the crowds.
antifa is becoming their own form of white supremacy. Doesn't matter what color they are. antifa seem to think they're aligned with blm.
They are not, they are ruining the blm cause. Nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands. Otherwise our laws are gone also.
