My point was that while you may not die, it messes you up. I'm very aware of the mortality rate. Talk to people who have had it, lasting breathing problems are real. Every person I have spoke to all says on deep breaths they can still feel the damage months later.

Those are not actual mortality rates - those are estimates based on models with data input by the CDC with best-estimate values for " disease severity, viral transmissibility, and pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic disease transmission"

Just saying, there's a difference. It also doesn't take into account what happens when hospitals get overwhelmed and have to start rationing care, how some people get messed up/have symptoms for months after they get it, lose jobs, etc.
