Those are not actual mortality rates - those are estimates based on models with data input by the CDC with best-estimate values for " disease severity, viral transmissibility, and pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic disease transmission"
Just saying, there's a difference. It also doesn't take into account what happens when hospitals get overwhelmed and have to start rationing care, how some people get messed up/have symptoms for months after they get it, lose jobs, etc.
