Because his emotional makeup doesn't permit him to, that's why. He's in denial that he did anything wrong and will insist to the end that this debacle was somebody else's fault. My guess is that will point straight at Andrew DeVries, who probably was the architect here. As I said in another post, DeVries merely chose the wrong contractor to build his house.

Petar started the finger pointing by by disavowing the financial statements on the company website, and saying the audit was not the truth as he knew it so he wouldn't have any part in posting it and getting himself in trouble for what somebody else did.

I believe this behavior will continue throughout the regulatory administrative process and any criminal proceedings which may follow. He really needs competent counsel.

he is not running his mouth publicly. having other ppl post his statement on message boards or chating with ppl on internet forums is not public-official communication. he can do that all he wants, he can't be held accountable for whatever he tells ppl through unofficial communication channels.
