You said:

My familiarity with NDA's goes further than I could actually intimate but i've seen companies under an NDA agreement, go out of their way to assist their fellow "cohort."

And I've seen NDA's which were strictly adhered to, by the letter, due to the sensitive nature of those NDA's and the product(s), processes, etc. being protected. That being said, sometimes the product(s), processes, etc. dictate the movements of all the parties involved. The more proprietary the product(s), et. al, the more movements are dictated by it/them.

And to not take into account the current chaotic business environment is ludicrous. Not to mention, this particular company (KBLB), is attempting something never accomplished before in the history of mankind. Within that chaotic environment!

With all that being said, as outsiders, there is no way of knowing what assistance is being received by their fellow "cohorts." Assuming they're getting none is baseless.

In hindsight, he learned; as Polartec ended up creating that very scenario; until it was ready; on its terms.
Hope the company he turned away, didn't have influence enough to make investment banker financing difficult for Kim.

Yes, let's hope the one company he couldn't come to terms with on an agreement has not blacklisted KBLB with the entire investment banking community.

Though there are more than enough potential financers out there, it's a small world in the grand scheme of things.

With the frequent proclamations here about how companies are looking to throw money at start ups, let's hope there are a few left willing to be invested in the only (spider silk) game in town.
