I was very touched by the kind and loving responses I have received from my friends on this board.

But I want to start my acknowledgements by thanking you, who was a stranger, for the support you offered, and through which you have now become a new friend. It was very much appreciated and deeply felt.

My wife had been in various medical care facilities, this round, since February. Since then, I have been waiting for her to come home, but instead, she went home. And it is actually difficult to feel sorrow when looked at in those terms.

But, let's focus on the miracle before us.

Within weeks of my wife's readmittance to the hospital, every care facility in the country went on lockdown. No patient visits allowed.

In my wife's case, the brain damage she suffered, plus whatever other factors contributed to it, rendered it impossible to even talk to her on the phone. Her motor skills, vision, hearing, and communication skills all impacted too severely to communicate by video conference or phone.

Can you imagine how she must have felt? No visits, no phone calls, and no ability to even ask why. The isolation had to be overwhelming.

But that is the monster which is Covid. Impacting all hospitalized patients, not just those infected by the Covid virus.

The brilliant, dedicated, and compassionate people at Humanigen have developed a solution to this world-wide suffering, and we are helping them to deliver it. We will be richly rewarded, but it will be in far more ways than one. No more isolation from loved ones when we are most needed by them is beyond any value I can ascribe to it.

God-speed to our validation and introduction to the world.

And welcome to the room, where I think you have just made more than one new friend.
