Simba...I too am shopping for a LCD or plasma and from what I've learned so far is that most TV's are made by Samsung, so if that is true, then visio may be made by them and quality seems pretty good to me.
Shopping for a TV is so much more complicated than it used to be. I'm a little leary of a plasma at this point for 2 reasons: 1. once the gas is exhausted it's done, no repairs. 2. I live in Colorado and they do not last as long at high altitudes. Although a salesman told me that they have improved them to the point where I should not be concerned.
