The longest bird migration is the arctic tern, they do a 25,000 mile roundtrip from pole to pole each year, but not all in one hop.

When I was a kid, I gave a presentation about them, and tried to crack a joke about "one good tern deserves another" but I had a stuffy nose and it came out sounding like "arctic turds" and the teacher was not amused.
