I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the gatherings I see in the US without masks and social distancing and not just at Trump rallies. I can tell you that here in Canada you just don't see that. EVERYONE here wears a mask, even toddlers with their mothers while grocery shopping, nobody is immune or gets a pass.
How people behave here varies considerably by location. Around here, people are good about it. They wear their masks, as in fact they have to if they want to get into stores. But elsewhere, it's often as you describe. Really stupid behavior.
I hope that Trump is man enough to swallow his pride and use his power to make it very clear that he was wrong and to mandate mask wearing in public.
Well, somebody finally got round to mandating it in the White House. But I'm not holding my breath where Trumpty's concerned. He can literally NEVER admit he was wrong about anything. Note that he's still referring to the "flu epidemic of 1917".
