Yes, due for an payout increase next Q which will likely be a token penny. You are correct that I don't buy 7% yielding stuff, but I've had a small amount of T for years via inheritance. T is my second worst stock since the March 2020 lows, among my 19 stocks. I'm certainly not adding more of it.
I know very little about T's current and wildly varied mish mash of businesses.
Amazing how my rule against buying ulltra high yield stocks has paid off for me. My very low yield stocks -- those paying under 1% -- have far outperformed my higher yielding stocks. There are some exceptions. BRK yields nothing and it's done fairly poorly. UPS paid a hefty dividend and it's way up in recent months, due to CV.
My best stock in 2020 has been Carrier which has doubled. It yields about 1% which is probably about the sweet spot for both yield and appreciation.
Certainly won't be adding to my small ATT holding.
