Paying a dividend is absolutely within the possible to attract more buyers. COOP has $5.9 billion NOLs that can be turned in more than $1.4 billion cash over the years (the NOLs can be used up to 2031)
What to do with the money?
* either buying other companies/assets with the cash * increasing the stock repurchase program (currently they already authorized a $100 million repurchase program) * or paying a dividend
