yes, its legal, but most deals have anti-shorting clauses, provisions that are intended to prevent lenders/funders from manipulating and working against the share price to enrich themselves more than they already are by getting discounted shares...


whether allowed or legal, many do it anyway, through other accounts, usually off-shore

Auctus Fund is a toxic lender to those garbage scam tickers like BRTX that cant get traditional funding from an HONEST banking institution. They know up front that these scams cant pay up so they take shares at bargain basement prices for WASH TRADING pumps and then the dump is on.
THe TRIPLE 0 vultures have already feasted on BRTX with nothing left but the scraps to fight over as is already evident here.
