I didn't discount they aren't looking at safety because I can guarantee you they are. It's the FDA and they've never run trials in the US that I am aware of.
This stock had the same late day run-up last Friday about the same time. Maybe it's shorts covering for the weekend... Or just people that want to buy in case news hits in Switzerland before the market opens Monday.
PS: I'm enjoying your chart analysis but when we get FDA EUA there won't be a chart that tells us where we're going.
