Absolutely. Definitely not against the idea of a good, Safe and effective vaccine. But there’s quite a voice of those who already choose not to vaccinate (I do not want to debate the pro/anti views), as well the legitimate criticism of potentially ‘rushing’ a vaccine.
Global needs... absolutely not enough. I merely was speaking of the US myself. However, if deals are made in other countries, I’m sure the need to find more manufacturing will present itself.
Just to be clear, my hopes are not resting on Covid. Despite its obvious utility in the disease, there are plenty of indications in the works to mitigate any issues pushing the Covid indication, as you so pointed out.
