Their product will not be ready until WAY into 2021 if that. Phase 1 starts at the end of 2020 and they are not part of OWS.
This will lead to a lack of attention while bettors are waiting. Short term is positive due to PRs.
One cannot know about the market in 2022 I believe.
Biotech is great, because you find a good product and wait for the extremely long period between PRs, usually and then make your bet on final approval for very little money.
Vaccines for COVID are not hard relatively speaking
It all depends on the R0.
The LATEST measure of infectivity is 5.7, see Los Alamos article published in the July CDC.
IF this virus is THAT infective then a herd immunity of upwards of 90% may be required before the pandemic ceases. If them FIRST measures of R0 are correct somewhere around 60% herd immunity will be required.
In the second case this will be over before vbiv finishes it's trial, in the first case we will be treating this for several years.
???
The virus circulates until it no longer finds a host. If it is very easy for the virus, it will infect 5.7 people.
If it is not as infective, then it will infect 2-3 people.
Measles is 12. Extremely infective and so you get outbreaks every once in awhile even though all are legislated to get vaccinated.
Despite the recent article I mentioned most authorities are basing their predictions on the lower R0
Not being anything more than a regular Joe, I am not sure, but I am a very well informed investor of biotech.
Regardless of all that the time between PRs will tank any pre revenue biotech.
There is no way to know where the vaccines of vbiv will perform in people until they get to people
So time, and lower herd immunity will tank the stock. Only a need for a high herd immunity will bring riches to vbiv.
MY OPINION is that vbiv will be viable because of high infectivity.
Reasonable peak followed by a return to say a modest PPS followed by a prolonged uptrend is my opinion.
I put the last part of that prediction at 60 percent which is high for biotech.
This stands in stark comparison to the stock in play when we first met which was just in play with complete trash.
I made my a lot of money by getting out at 18 cents per reverse split.
As always just my opinion.
