First time poster, but I have been following PGUS for a couple years. In and out a couple times. Noodle, you're a good honest man. Jan had experience in this same business model in Spain. I, too, thought he might be successful here. However, there is one glaring difference in Mexico that was not present in Spain. Corruption! Corruption raises its' ugly head at all levels in Mexico. The Cartels have a HUGE influence too. The fact he has American roots in this particular endeavor has also derailed it. Jan did not anticipate all this or take it seriously. Doing business as an American in Mexico is fraught with all sorts of political and corruption issues. Will he ever get the required permits from Mexico???? Not unless he puts bribe money in front of certain Mexican officials or makes 'personal' deals to bring certain Mexican officials in on the deal for future kickbacks to them. Only when the right Mexicans are satisfied with American dollars will Jans' project get off the ground, and permits issued.
