LOL They knew? Who didn't, one could ask. One could suggest anyone who didn't know of Trump's narcissism, his
open dishonesty, his selfishness and his lack of empathy either didn't do their research, or is/was more of a dunce.

Using their own words against him should be a good tactic now, still which of Trump supporters is worse? The
ones who supported him from the beginning? Or the ones who at least then knew him and said what they felt?

Bottom line for most politicians is they end up supporting the party line. Most have to.

This year the three decade smear to hate Hillary conservative campaign is gone.

Rep. Brian Babin Texas' 36th Congressional District 2014 May 12, 2016

"While Trump was not my first choice, he's now our only choice if we want to defeat Hillary.
It's time to unite. ... I am totally at peace and unequivocally endorsing Donald trump."[29]

Some just thought Trump was the man for the job.

Rep. Chris Collins New York's 27th Congressional District 2012 February 24, 2016

Trump "understands the importance of American exceptionalism, and has the unique qualifications to make America great again."[2]

Here's Ryan

Citing a series of conversations about the House agenda that he had with Trump, Ryan wrote in an op-ed, "I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives. That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall. It’s no secret that he and I have our differences. I won’t pretend otherwise. And when I feel the need to, I’ll continue to speak my mind. But the reality is, on the issues that make up our agenda, we have more common ground than disagreement. For me, it’s a question of how to move ahead on the ideas that I—and my House colleagues—have invested so much in through the years. It’s not just a choice of two people, but of two visions for America. And House Republicans are helping shape that Republican vision by offering a bold policy agenda, by offering a better way ahead. Donald Trump can help us make it a reality."[27]

May 5, 2016

"During an interview with CNN, Ryan said that “he cannot support or endorse” Donald Trump for president. Ryan said, “To be perfectly candid with you … I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now. I hope to though and I want to. But what is required is to unify this party. And the bulk of the burden on unifying the party will have to come from our presumptive nominee. ...At this point I’m not ready to jump in, but I hope we can get there. … This is the party of Lincoln, of Reagan, of Jack Kemp. And we don’t always nominate a Lincoln or a Reagan every four years. But we hope that our nominee aspires to be Lincoln and Reaganesque, that that person advances the principles of our party and appeals to a wide, vast majority of Americans.”[28]

Here's hoping the bottom line for some 3 million more voters in 2020 are fed up with having a prick as a president.

That would push Hillary's popular vote margin to something over 5 million, surely enough to overcome the EC glitch.

There is room left to trust the collective American voter. If sod forbid Trump won this year that would be gone for a lifetime for millions.

Trump surely will finally be seen by enough as the loser he always has been.
