Yes, enterting the DeFi space is huge and XRP will certainly be taking on ETH for the crown. Buterin got the idea from Ripple anyhow as he almost ended up working for them before he went on to create Ethereum. I heard somewhere that ETH 2.0 will utilize XRP in some way. I could be wrong but I remember reading
that somewhere and also read that one of the main drives behind ETH 2.0 is to get off of POW. Ripple has been right from the beginning in how they established their network through consensus protocol.

I saw that news on paypal / square embracing crypto with BTC. but realistically, BTC cannot do the type of transactional speed required. XRP would seem to be a much wiser choice, or at least an added currency option.
