Drats! I swore I wouldn't respond to any of these but here I am, a moth to the flame.

D&b you are absolutely correct. I know you meant your comment sarcastically but you have inadvertently hit upon one of the unique features of the Western World. Not that Ihub must always mirror what is acceptable in law but in this case it does.

You can discuss the principals of a public company and call them dirty rotten scoundrels in public because they lead their professional lives in public. If Fred Falk were to post here as himself (I know, Cassie, you're sure he already does) and some of you ran him up a rail for his handling of e.Digital I wouldn't do a thing about it. He is as on-topic as you get.

However, the posters on this board are not public officials. They are private citizens, in most cases anonymous. As such they are afforded a higher level of protection from personal attack. They are not the focus of this forum. They are merely participants.

So, d&b, you are correct. There are two standards and it is by design that they exist. You should be grateful for it.
