Congress has ground negotiations to a halt. No one is budging. It's a stalemate.
But just because Congress won't get with the program, that doesn't mean the American people don't still need relief.
And President Trump is going to make sure they get it. You hear stalemate, he says "Checkmate!"
Earlier this week, he previewed executive orders that would extend enhanced federal unemployment benefits, suspend payroll taxes until the end of the year, extend a moratorium on evictions and help with student loan payments.
Today, those Executive Orders are about to become a reality...
If Congress won't move, they should just move out of the way.
