I used to work for a guy just like NP. Same situation, huge bully and very narcissistic. However if you dig deep it comes from insecurity.
I ran the firm for 5 years... he constantly unintentionally sabotaged progress through his need to be out in front and in control. I told him to shut up and take the huge checks... he couldn’t do it.
Same nightmare... BOD should take a vote and send him to a white room.
A guy like NP is a coin... extreme pros and cons. Big volatile rollercoaster. Institutional investors will want him gone...
