Because...as I said already...it can be expensive. The “collateral” requirement is $2.50 per share which can’t be touched until the position is closed out...PLUS the interest PLUS the fees and if the stock is not cancelled for a year that makes holding the position expensive...for little return...the extra $0.30 per share one could make can EASILY be eaten waiting. Most will want to close out and move on...they don’t want $2.50 per share tied up on an non-marginable security which is what JCPNQ became when it delisted.
