Hotmeat- I would agree with your statement that WMI wasn't an investor in the MBS if it wasn't for the Deutsche Bank claim and the other investors claims filed against WMI, i.e., MARTA and Boilermakers claims along with the Underwriters. These actions shows that there is liability on the part of WMI in connection with the selling of MBS. IMHO, this liability came from the packaging and selling of MBS. And if they packaged and sold MBS, they would have to have some skin in the game themselves.
