I work in the Ag industry. I do know farmers and I guarantee you they source their seed from genetics that bring the most value and from reputable vendors that can actually supply hundreds or thousands of pounds when they need it.
The rest you may have a point. It's frustrating. I don't like that it's taking a year to get this thing finalized. But there's still way more DD pointing toward success, than not.
