At a minimum the smaller crowd will experience the thrill of being at the track and rooting for their choice.

The younger bar crowd is paying in spades for their disregard of the COVID-19 rules of the road. Crowded Texas bars that were as wide open as Dodge City saloons before Wyatt Earp arrived apparently are closed for the duration.
This week in the Los Angeles Times I read the obituary of a WWII Marine combat veteran. He was 95. His battles weren't listed but if he had been at Guadalcanal he would have been seventeen. At Iwo Jima he would have been twenty.
God bless the men who were in their youth at the time of their calling.
