it's a real laffer, in 1987 the market had been in an uptrend for 5 years straight, people were real bulled up.
right now we've come off the worst bear market since 1974 (or 1929 when you consider the nasdaq), when people are bringing up these comparisons you should take these as buying opportunities, because the sentiment is too bearish.
