I think what most likely turned this into such a frost was the announcement earlier today that 6 of the organizers tested positive for Covid. They might have voted a sycophantic dimwit in as governor, but they still don't want to get sick with this thing.

The way they're cramming the people who were dumb enough to go together to make Big Dummy think he's got a real crowd will discourage attendees in other places.
