Midas, forgeting for the moment what political position Rush represents, I have to disagee with you. As a public figure, with a police investigation made public, I contend he had no choice but to speak out and seek treatment to mitigate damage to his reputation and to be able to plead for leniency and cut a deal when he goes to court charged with drug dealing.
Had he come forward, without all the press, much as Betty Ford and others have, then I'd think you have a valid point.
