There are other factors to consider such as wearing masks, warmer weather and the curve flattening. The shutdown of the country slowed the spread of the virus. Hopefully it stays flats and testing becomes widely available so if it peaks again we can be more aggressive with contact tracing. When this first broke out it was devastating however the physical separation slowed the spread. One country (Vietnam) that shut down right away in early January when they first heard about it, had very few deaths, initiated contact tracing early and basically whipped the shit out Covid-19.
We are a very resourceful country and we will get through this, rebuild our economy and get back to a new normal way of life.
