New cases are consistently growing faster than recovered cases since day 1 so I doubt we see death going under 1000 for awhile unless maybe on a weekend when numbers sometimes appear sketchy. Also I suspect deaths have been undercounted certainly from the beginning. CA and IL look like they are peaking along with MD.
