The difference between now and the 70s is Moore's Law. The technological breakthroughs coming (abundant energy, driverless cars, AI, automation etc.) will drive down the cost of everything (surgeonless surgery from Titan Medical-LOL!!). Every middle man will disappear. Could food be a pocket of inflation? Sure. But we're in inning 1 of deflation.
Buy crypto!! BTC, ETH, EOS among others. Faith in government fiat will end. UBI from crypto will be a reality.
