Dr Fauci says so... at least for today. Since Remdesivir's coronovirus effect seems limited,it may benefit Brilacidin.

It looks like Dr Fauci and the NIH are going to push Remdesivir into multiple accelerated combination trials. AIDS,Hepatitis C, and Ebola, require combinations of different drugs for optimal treatment.

If Brilacidin passes the next hurtle with a positive result against Coronovirus infected pulmonary epithelial cells, I think it is likely to be advanced to single and combination trials. The combination trial for Brilacidin with its antibiotic, immunologic as well as antiviral properties would logically be an antiviral such as Remdesivir {especially since their antiviral properties may be complimentary}.

The fact that Fauci has seized on Remdesivir, a drug which has never gone through a standard clinical trial, whose side effects are largely unknown and whose performance in several trials has been disappointing shows how desperate the NIH and Fauci are. It is reminiscent of the way hydroxychloroquine was selected for the first round of trials.

The other fact demonstrated by Dr Fauci's decision is not many drugs are proving to be effective against Coronovirus.

Brilacidin will be in the spot light if the next tests produce good results.

Good luck to all,Farrell
