I just joined the AGN party a couple days ago and I have no medical background and I'm trying to educate myself... specifically I'm trying to understand why it is important that NP120 is a NMDA Glu2NB antagonist... google searches don't reveal anything about NMDA and COVID19 (other than articles related to Ifenprodil). Is NMDA a consequence of the body's autoimmune response to the virus, and high levels of NMDA contribute to the cytokine storm that is so damaging? Can you also please explain what the relevance of Ifenprodil's antagonist activity against the Sigma-1 receptor with respect to COVID19?
