There are limited structured software solutions out there utilizing generic means...ie..voice recorders ...that function with flash just fine....as you yourself have pointed out.

NTFS(software solution) was developed to give attributes allowing for a more advanced organization of user data....than the generic means allow.....without an impact of system overhead....be it hardware or software shortcomings.

They may have started out with a specific issue....however, IMO.. developments are beyond that.
It's all based on the structure.. along with novel means to traverse it.....all patented.

Let them advance it ...will ya!!!
