ABT has two distinct COVID-19 tests: 1) a point-of-care test that gives a quick answer and does not require a lab (#msg-154626369); and 2) a PCR-based test kit that has to be sent to a central lab where the kit is processed on one of ABT’s high-throughput m2000 machines (#msg-154427024).
I think the confusion stems from conflating these two tests.
