Yes. New more effective technology. A little more expensive than HEPA. Think DYSON. The inventor couldn't get the company he worked for to back the NEW vacuum technology. I believe he was told "if there was a better way to vacuum Hoover would have it". Took DYSON several years to get backing. Will KNOS become the premier air cleaner.
There is a term for that. The Semmelweis reflex or "Semmelweis effect" is a metaphor for the reflex-like tendency to reject new evidence or new knowledge because it contradicts established norms, beliefs, or paradigms.
Interestingly that the term comes from a doctor in the 1860's trying to tell others doctors to "sterlize" their hands. Germs had not yet been identified as causing many illnesses. He knew it worked but the science had not caught up with the fact.
