The debate on the value of everyone wearing masks is sorta sitting at well, might be good if there were enough for all, but then again if all were wearing one it may detract from their social distancing focus, which is the most important.
Testing, of course, is still all important to depress the rate of further spread. To see who has it, so they can be isolated. And then to enable even more widespread contact tracing in the search of even more carriers.

Seriously? You don't see the benefit to testing. There are only a few ways we eliminate this Virus. Social distancing is a mitigation strategy when the pandemic has gotten out of control. So isn't wearing masks. They will reduce but not eliminate this virus.

I have no objection to masks. They will help. In the end however tracing the virus by testing everyone associated with individual cases (short of a vaccine or cure) will be the only way to eradicate this protein.
