Do we have any further information about the results of the use of HCQ + Azithromycin in the Chinese and/or South Korean studies referenced in the article below?
I haven’t seen them. And I’ve looked. (And even if I hadn’t, I’m sure they would get publicity).
Again, I am completely fine with trials in acute, moderate and prophylactic- but I’d place my odds heavily on prophylactic (if any). The disease ravages multiple systems (by which I mean people with a wide variety of comorbidities are vulnerable), and a high dose of HCQ is not friendly.
But for now - I will wager that within a month multiple large regions of US or Europe will be requiring anyone in public to be wearing a mask. More and more data is appearing or coming to light that it is highly useful if both the infector and potential infectee are wearing a mask. (Eg Interesting study on airplane during swine flu days - some passengers with swine flu infected a bunch of people on the plane. Many were from asia and wearing masks. None of the people wearing masks were infected. 35% of those without were infected.)
