Zeev made a perceptive comment if I understood him right. People who turn stock ownership into a cult aren't in the stock or market for the usual reason, to make money. This has to do more with satisfying some emotional needs for a worship object or to fill a void. Personally, I think they would be better off getting out more and acquiring a pet.
PS I tend to avoid cult stocks. I figure if there was anything to them they wouldn't need a cult, the sometimes efficient market would have priced them accordingly.
