Trying to downplay COVID-19 will not help to pump the share price. And it makes light of all of the 1000s of people that have died so far.
And comparing the flu to COVID-19 is like comparing apples to potatoes. They are EXTREMELY different. The flu is not just one virus, but a family of viruses. In addition, the flu season started last fall. COVID-19 hasn't even made its way around the world yet.
We are in the beginning phases of COVID-19. It will (unfortunately) get much, much worse. It will most likely cause a global recession.
