Yes, cruise ships certainly represent homeless populations: close quarters, eating at tables serving eight at a time, an affluent clientele that can afford health insurance as readily as a multi-thousand dollar vacation.

The nursing home in Washington State that served as a covid-19 hot spot was not a homeless encampment. It was a nursing home with medical staff on hand.

I am not concerned about isolated homeless encampments as a major factor in the spread of the disease. They perhaps epitomize self quarantine and do not interact to a significant extent with others at the movies or the mall or large social events.

Seriously, when is the last time you've been within four feet of a homeless person?

So far, the majority of infected people who've spread it to other countries have been people on vacations or attending professional conferences in other countries who then brought it back and infected others amongst their families, colleagues, or casual acquaintances.

The 10's of millions is to be known. We'll have to wait but I think we have a good handle on it.

Good handle on it?! I received a call tonight that I may need to be quarantined. On Thursday, I attended a client meeting with 10-12 attendees of which one of the attendees learned they had direct contact with someone who tested positive for the Coronavirus. Since that Thursday meeting...

1.) I've traveled in two Amtrak trains, two subway trains and four cabs
2.) I was in 4 separate high rise buildings on Friday and early Saturday
3.) I attended a Gala Saturday night for a non-profit organization with over 400 attendees. I had direct contact with at least 200 of the attendees... including 15-20 elementary school teachers and the majority of attendees were between 40-75 yrs old.
4.) I attended a birthday party this afternoon with over 50 people of which 15 guests were over the age of 70 with the oldest 93 and she lives in a nursing home.

If I have the virus, there's a good chance hundreds if not thousands of people could be infected solely based on the above activity. Nobody has a good handle on this.
