Ian. Imho this is not yet a buying opportunity . Dr Gottlieb was just on Face the Nation . Suggest you watch that and follow updates from Milan .
We are just seeing the start of this and have no firm idea how it will end or the economic damage the spread of this virus will cause

There are second derivative affects that will follow ... airlines unable to make loan payments for example

Obviously the world won't come to an end but there will likely be some dramatic effects. It seems wise to reduce exposure to stocks and build up some cash if you haven't done so already. You never want to be the last one to react.

I've also stated that for most people (more than 98 or 99%) this will be no worse than a cold or a flu.

That is patently false. Some 10%-20% of the infected will need hospitalization. By the way, the lethality numbers coming out of Italy are alarming. Reality is our friend but you appear to be denying the facts of how dangerous this virus is.

It's here, it will happen whether I whine. bitch or moan.
Nothing that you nor I post here will change that.

So what. This board is an excellent one that uses facts and informed speculation about biotechs. Why wouldn't we do the same regarding medical l issues that affect us all. That is what is going on here, not bitching and moaning for the sake of bitching and moaning.
