As of March 1st plastic bags are banned in NY.

I went to the grocery store last week and to my surprise the store decided to start early so they had no plastic bags and they also decided to stop using paper bags.

I was a bit annoyed that they took it upon themselves to start before March 1st since for the last month every time I was in the store they would make announcements with the March 1st date.

They offered to sell me bags for 2.99 each but I was pissed off so I passed. Kind of like cutting off my nose to spite my face because I just loaded everything in my car loose and when I got home I had to bring out some of the canvas bags that I already had in the house.

In Cleveland they mix it all together after picking up but will still fine you $100 if you don't recycle properly . So woke !
