I don't think so.
What I do believe:
The crimes of the poor are many but don't yield very much reward,
while the crimes of the rich are very few but yield a whole lot more.
Also, the rich have found ways to make some things legal which I think should be crimes. For instance, should a CEO get paid $1,000.000 or more per year to run a company? It is legal, but I consider that as being a crime. It's theft of value from all of society living at lower levels of our hierarchy.
A good CEO would (and should) work his ass off for $1M per year. The same applies for half that. Can he work any harder and smarter for $2M per year? My opinion: hell no! That fact that he can get that higher income for the same quantity and quality of work is in my opinion a crime against all of society.
I know how that happens and I know how to get rid of it, but it's impossible to get a position in government to make that happen unless this country changes the way elections are funded.
