I usually like to judge for myself who has something worthwhile to say. I've never been much to pander after the current "in" fad or want to know which movie star is currently fashionable.
A lot of people claim to know all the answers to everything. A little fame or fortune in one area makes no one an expert in others.
In the area of finance there is a vast army of people out there who claim to have all the answers. You can check on every one of them. Lots of backing, well known, number one in this national magazine or that. Credentials are endless. I listen to a few and trust almost none especially anyone claiming popularity with one faction or another...or an internet message board.
I read very widely in areas many wouldn't think would have anything to do with "finance". I'm developing some pretty good instincts and they tell me I've run into a lot of you before. You may not have the same name, but people don't change that much over the centuries and you've all been around. I don't claim a wide following or any for that matter. Not rich or making a killing on the stock market, but doing well.
I don't fish (no thanks to dear ol' dad). But I know a lot of people who do. Some fish for fish, some for people, and some for peoples' money.
