I also watch a few others but my focus is on them when I'm day trading the QQQ..
and I focus on the high volume one the most ( if one has exceptional volume )
which isn't always the case, but when one has exceptional volume over the other two
it will dam near tell you what's coming around he next corner.

I never looked at shorting one put and long the next month but I'll take a look.
It sounds like it will work if slippage and commissions don't eat you up.
