Ohm,

Excellent post, very enlightening.

With the occupancy test arguably CDY could try to experiment by trying to blockade completely the CCR5 receptors for some time and mesure the virologic load re-appearance.

It could possibly be that a "full coverage" of CCR5 (by reasonable overload since it is safe) for some time can eliminate the virus completely, not being able to recruit more CD4+ cells.

I appreciate the reply. The immune system is a complicated animal - especially when you start studying complements and the like. I have a very basic understanding of the immune system and infectious diseases, so I was curious if PRO-140 could work beyond just a functional cure for HIV. Looks like I’m not the only one with that curiosity. Good luck to you!
