Unfortunately, I'm still doing my DD and haven't as yet run across any stories whether or not some US stores will survive or not.
Besides the US, DEST has/had many stores and "shop-in-shops" outside the US:
1) 26 stores in Canada;
2) 34 shop-in-shops in South Korea;
3) 102 shop-in-shops in Mexico;
4) 39 shop-in-shops in Israel.
Also, their 2019 10-K states, "As of February 2, 2019, we had 184 international franchised locations, comprised of 9 stand-alone stores 175 shop-in-shop locations, in which we have a Company-branded department operated by our franchise partners within other retail stores." In this case, stores in Canada are excluded from this count.
So far I have found no info on how many (if any) of these will survive.
All the above info is from the FY2019 10-K.
Until a POR is filed with the Court, it is really just a guessing game as to what operations might survive and then resume business as a reorganized entity. Perhaps it will only be an online business with maybe just a few of their most profitable brick and mortar stores. I just don't know.
