Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader who last week chastised Democrats for ramming the impeachment of President Donald Trump through the House of Representatives, said Monday that he wouldn’t rule out calling witnesses in the upcoming Senate trial.
“We’ve said let’s handle this case just like we did with President (Bill) Clinton. Fair is fair,” McConnell said.
