That might be true but if you’ve heard of the villages in central Florida you’re guaranteed some long game. Lol. Not defending San Fran, it’s a young persons city or major uppity. Austin downtown is legit, just had a nice edm show across the river last month but the rest of the state is living in a pre Vietnam bubble so I get it. Not for me. Florida is nice for the weekend cruises and gambling, theme parks and hurricane parties at my place.

Texas has its own problems. Southern Arizona...sun, no winter to speak of, easy carry, and liberal. Problem is crime & economic standard of living. Tradeoffs anywhere, though.

But I have been to Texas a few times. Austin is ok.
