Augieboo, nice data. I wonder if you would get a better correlation if you took the days from the chart below, and separated them by their distance from a local minimum/maximum. IOW, how do the data look when you have one of these days near a local top, and near a local bottom? Take say all of the days within 20 % of a local bottom and all within 20 % of a local top, how do they correlate?

I'd do it right now, but have to earn my pay . . .

Augie, I am considering the possibility that such high counts on the advance decline might actually signal future strength instead of long term weakness. I do expect that level to be corrected off of but just as in 84 and 02 what we may have is a signal of possible strength for the market down the line. ???????????? We'll see.
